BURKE’S REVENGE, BOOK #3 IN THE BOB BURKE ACTION THRILLER SERIES, SHOULD BE OUT BY YEAR’S END!
I am well into the first draft of Book #3. This time, Bob Burke doesn’t run into trouble with the Chicago or New York mobs, trouble comes looking for him in the form of a home-grown ISIS cell that has set up shop just down the road in Fayetteville North Carolina and Bob’s beloved Fort Bragg. As you can expect, that’s something no self-respecting infantryman or the Merry Men of Sherwood Forest are going to put up with for very long.
You can read my first cut of Chapter 1 at the tab above. Let me know what you think.

Bob Burke is back! Welcome to ‘American Sniper’ meets ‘The Godfather,’ Round #2. You’ll find some old familiar characters and some new ones in this new thriller novel — some dangerous, some funny and quirky, but nonstop action and plot twists around every corner. Instead of the northwest suburbs of Chicago, this time the action is in the glitzy gambling casinos of Atlantic City, where one of Bob’s old friends is thrown out a fifth-story window of a casino run by New York City’s infamous Genovese and Lucchese mob families. With “the telephone guy” and his Delta Force sergeants, payback is going to be a bitch!

Burke’s War Think the ‘American Sniper’ meets ‘The Godfather.’ As Bob Burke’s 737 comes in to land at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, he sees a man murder a woman on a rooftop below. No one believes him, of course, but that doesn’t matter. He knows what he saw, and Bob Burke isn’t the kind to let a thing like that rest. He soon finds himself butting heads with the Chicago mob, crooked suburban cops, a zealous US Attorney, a psychopathic doctor, and his own vindictive soon-to-be-ex-wife, who is trying to take his company away from him. Slight of build and now a telecommunications company executive, Bob Burke appears to be an easy guy to dismiss; but ‘the telephone guy’ is a former Army Ranger and Delta Force commander who spent four tours in Iraq and the rugged mountains of Afghanistan. And when he needs a little backup, he knows exactly who to call.
Aim True, My Brothers is a contemporary thriller set in Washington, DC, as
MiddleEast terrorism explodes on American shores. Ibrahim Al-Bari is a highly skilled Hamas commander. After losing two brothers and a sister in a bloody attack on a civilian bus in Israel, Al-Bari decides to strike at America itself. No simple man with a rifle in a book depository window, when Ibrahim Al-Bari strikes, he will take out the President and many other national and international leaders in a fiery terrorist attack on national television. Out to stop him is Eddie Rankin, a maverick FBI agent, Moustapha ‘Mouse’ Khalidi, Chief of Security at the Egyptian Embassy, and Rachel Ullman, a hard-edged, female Israeli Mossad agent. Can this dysfunctional alliance hold together long enough to catch Ibrahim Al-Bari before they kill each other? The clock is ticking.
Winner Lose All is a military espionage thriller, set in the closing months of WWII, as one war grinds to an end in the rubble of Nazi Germany and the next “cold” one is just beginning. The Americans, the Russians, and the British all know that the future will belong to whoever can grab Hitler’s wonder weapon technology. Caught in the middle of this international tug of war is Ed Scanlon, a brilliant young American OSS agent and Hanni Steiner, the street-smart leader of the communist resistance in Leipzig. The prize is the plans for Germany’s revolutionary Me-262 jet fighter and the scientists who built it. Once bitter enemies become tomorrow’s allies, old friends cannot to be trusted, and treachery is the order of the day.
Amongst My Enemies Inside an old German U-Boat rusting on the bottom of the Baltic are millions in gold bars, stolen art, and a secret that could tear NATO apart. The only one who knows the truth in this military thriller is Mike Randall, a battle-scarred American who survived four months in the frozen Hell of northern Germany at the end of WW II. When he does speak up, he puts a target on his own forehead, one which the Russians, the West Germans, the U-boat’s former owners, the Israeli Mossad, and his own government take aim at. Some want the gold, some want him dead, and some want proof about a high-ranking spy inside NATO itself. Caught between the Kremlin and a new, deadly Fourth Reich, Randall wants revenge and to satisfy some old debts with a steel-jacketed bullet.
Thursday at Noon It is 1962. While the world is focused on the Russian missiles in Cuba no one notices the even more deadly ones in Egypt, pointed at Israel, no one except Richard Thomson. He’s a burned-out CIA agent who has been dumped in Cairo after his last mission blew up in his face. Thomson didn’t think his day could get much worse until someone left a dead body on the steps of his hotel with its head lopped off like a ripe melon. The body belongs to Mahmoud Yussuf, a petty thief who is trying to sell photographs of a long-abandoned RAF base in the desert. What do his photos have to do with a dead Israeli Mossad agent, Nazi rocket scientists, the fanatical Moslem Brotherhood, and two missing Egyptian tank regiments? Tick Toc, Tick Toc.
